Huawei Opens Pre-Orders for Ultra-Thin Mate 70 Air in China

Beijing, November 6 : Huawei has officially begun pre-orders for its latest ultra-thin smartphone, the Mate 70 Air, in China today. The booking window opened at 10:08 AM CST, marking the company’s first public reveal of the phone’s sleek and lightweight design.

Real-world images shared on Weibo show the Mate 70 Air’s remarkably slim profile, with several comparisons already surfacing against the iPhone Air. While Huawei hasn’t confirmed the official sale date, reports indicate that sales will begin on November 11.

The Mate 70 Air is expected to feature a 6.9-inch display with a punch-hole front camera and an 18.8:9 aspect ratio. Despite its ultra-thin 6.6mm body, the phone weighs 208 grams, primarily due to its massive 6,500mAh battery, which supports 66W fast wired charging.

The device is set to run on HarmonyOS 5.1, with a HarmonyOS 6.0 update expected shortly after launch. On the camera front, the Mate 70 Air may include a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP periscope telephoto camera.

Huawei will reportedly offer the device in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options, available in Golden Black, Feather White, and Silver Brocade color variants.

With pre-orders now live, Huawei is expected to reveal official pricing and additional details soon, as anticipation builds for one of the thinnest flagship smartphones ever produced by the brand.
